The following features will define the Northern Deanery Catholic High School:

School Identity: The new school’s identity will be rooted in the Catholic faith and evident throughout all aspects of the school’s life. The goal is to develop the spiritual and intellectual potential of each student and form them with a Catholic/Christian worldview through mind, body, and spirit.  Required courses each year in theology, celebration of Mass, sacraments, individual and communal prayer, and Christian service will be the building blocks of the new school’s identity.  Students will be encouraged and supported in their development to become integral faith-filled leaders.

Program: Provide a competitive, superior quality educational program for grades 9 to 12, following the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools (NSBECS.) There will also be potential opportunities for dual enrollment, advanced placement, and honor programs, among other possibilities. Extracurricular activities and sports will provide a holistic educational experience based on student interests.

Location: The initial location of the school will be Sacred Heart Parish Hall, located in the Fairhaven neighborhood of South Bellingham, pending all necessary approvals. We will continue to identify and plan for a permanent campus that can optimally serve our Northern Deanery community in the years ahead. Read more about the location decision here.

Tuition and Affordability: Tuition for the 2026/27 school year will be $14,000 and tuition assistance programs will be available. Read more about tuition here.

Enrollment: Expected full capacity enrollment will be around 200-300 students. Each class size would eventually be about 60-75 students per grade level.
